SwiftPOS Systems Training

Tools Used: Articulate Storyline 360, Google Suite

This e-learning course allows new employees to learn and experience the POS (Point of Sale) in a safe environment. The design helps learners build confidence by observing and practicing with guided help.

Note: This is a simplified version of the course for demonstration purposes.

  • Scoping revealed that all training for new hires was conducted through shadowing and on the job training. Heavy customer traffic frequently pulled new employees away from the Point of Sale system before they felt confident, leaving them without support when they needed it most. These findings shaped the decision to create a self-paced e-learning course that gave learners a safe environment to build confidence before ever stepping onto the floor.

  • The storyboard was built using Google Suite based on the client's tool preference, making it easier for them to engage with early drafts and provide meaningful feedback. Virtual meetings were used for language reviews and early iterations while in person sessions brought in user feedback to ensure the content reflected real learner needs. This combination of collaboration methods kept the client closely involved throughout the process and ensured the storyboard was aligned before development began.

  • The prototype was tested with both the client and new hire testers, bringing real end users into the review process before final delivery. In person sessions were used to observe how learners interacted with the course and gather direct feedback on the experience. That input drove final iterations and ensured the course addressed the exact challenges identified during scoping. The result was measurable: transaction time for new hires dropped from a 7 minute average to 2 minutes after completing the training.
